Floor Anchors are available in 316L stainless steel, it will not corrode, discolor with age or damage the wood surface. PYI Floor Anchors meet ISAF requirements for offshore boats (category 2.03) and can safely hold 500 lbs. (226 kg.) per unit. The simple bayonet style opening mechanism, with 1/4 turn lock and release, will not loosen with age. Being that all pieces are self-contained, Floor Anchors can be continuously opened / closed without the fear of losing pieces. Suitable for 0.5" to 1.25" (12mm - 32mm) thick floorboards.
"OEM" FLOOR BOARDS
"OEM" Floor Anchors are designed to allow a 3/8" (9mm) to 3/4" (19mm) floor panel to be attached and detached repeatedly. PYI "OEM" Floor Anchors are a simplified form of PYI's successful Floor Anchors. Their simple design and installation allows a production boat builder to implement this type of fastener in a manufacturing environment. All components are made of 304 stainless steel. The PYI Lifting Ring works as a flush mounted device used to easily remove floorboard or panels. The Lifting Ring is made from marine grade chromed brass, and has spring loaded action that allows it to retract flush with the panel or board when not in use.
1/2" Panel (12 mm)
With 1/2" (12mm) panels the receiver will sit flush. A minimum of 1" (25mm) is needed for the sole.
3/4" Panel (19 mm)
With 3/4" (19mm) panels you will have a small portion of the receiver above the sole. A minimum of 3/4" (19mm) is needed for the sole.
7/8" Panel (22 mm)
With 7/8" (22mm) panels you will have more of the receiver sitting below the sole, thus the sole will require counter boring. A minimum of 1-1/8" (29mm) is needed for the sole.
1" Panel (25 mm)
With 1" (25mm) panels teh receiver will sit flush. A minimum of 1" (25mm) is needed for the sole.
1-1/4" Panel (32 mm)
With 1-1/4" (32mm) panels you will have a small portion of the receiver above the sole. A minimum of 3/4" (19mm) is needed for the sole.
